📚 Historical Context
In the historical context of Luke 5:3, Jesus is at the Sea of Galilee during the early days of His public ministry, where large crowds gathered to hear His teachings. He asks Simon, a fisherman, to move his boat slightly away from the shore to create space and use it as a natural platform to address the people without being overwhelmed. This event highlights Jesus' practical approach to teaching in a culture where fishing was a common livelihood along the lake.
