- Authentication Data: Your email address and a generated Account UUID. We use passwordless Magic Links — we never store or process passwords.
- App Data: Verses and topics you save are stored securely in our database to sync across your devices.
- Operational Data: Standard server logs — IP addresses, browser types, and request timestamps — to maintain infrastructure security.
2. Cookies & Local Storage
We use session cookies and local storage strictly to maintain your authenticated state and application preferences (such as theme selection). We do not employ cross-site retargeting scripts or behavioral tracking pixels.
3. How We Use Your Information
Collected data is used exclusively for:
- Authentication: Sending secure Magic Links via email for sign-in. We do not use your email for marketing newsletters without explicit consent.
- Cross-Platform Sync: Keeping your saved verses and study progress accessible across devices.
- Security: Preventing abuse, DDoS attacks, and malicious scraping.
4. Third-Party Services
We use external cloud infrastructure to operate:
- Supabase (PostgreSQL): Secure database storage for user accounts and saved content.
- Vercel: Frontend hosting and edge network delivery.
- LLM API Providers: AI processing for verse simplification.
These providers process transmission data under strict security protocols. None have the right to mine your personal information for their own marketing purposes.
5. Mobile Applications
This privacy policy governs interactions with the versemadesimple.com web platform. Native iOS and Android applications, when released, will be governed by supplemental privacy policies specific to device-level APIs and push notifications.
