Now in the twelfth month, which is called Adar, on the thirteenth day, when the king's command and law were about to be carried out, on the very day when the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them, the situation was completely reversed, and the Jews gained control over those who hated them.

⚡ EN RESUMEN

This verse describes how God turned a day meant for Jewish destruction into a day of Jewish victory over their enemies.

📚 Historical Context

In the Book of Esther, the Jewish people living under the Persian Empire faced a deadly decree from King Ahasuerus, orchestrated by his advisor Haman, which ordered their extermination on the 13th of Adar. This day was intended for their enemies to overpower and destroy them, but through the courageous actions of Queen Esther and her cousin Mordecai, the king issued a counter-decree allowing the Jews to defend themselves. As a result, the situation was reversed, and the Jews ended up prevailing over their adversaries.
