✦ SIMPLIFICADO

Mordecai told him everything that had happened to him, including the exact amount of money that Haman had promised to pay into the king's treasury in exchange for permission to destroy the Jews.

⚡ EN RESUMEN

Mordecai is revealing to Esther's messenger the full details of Haman's plot, including how much money Haman offered the king to get permission to kill all the Jewish people.

📚 Historical Context

This occurs during the Persian Empire when Jews lived as minorities throughout the kingdom. Haman, the king's chief official, had offered to pay 10,000 talents of silver (an enormous sum) to King Xerxes for the right to exterminate all Jews because of his personal hatred for Mordecai. Mordecai is communicating through Hatach, a palace servant, because he cannot speak directly to Queen Esther.
