This is part of an ancient Hebrew love poem celebrating romantic love between a bride and groom. In ancient times, mountains and hills often separated lovers, so the imagery of someone eagerly leaping over these obstacles showed passionate determination to be reunited. The Song of Solomon was written around 950 BC during King Solomon's reign and celebrates the beauty of marital love.
