Ye shall not offer unto the LORD that which is bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut; neither shall ye make any offering thereof in your land.
You must not offer to the LORD any animal that has been injured, crushed, broken, or cut. You are not to make any such offerings anywhere in your land.
God is instructing His people to only offer their very best animals in worship - those that are whole and without defects or injuries.
📚 Historical Context
This command was given to the Israelites as part of the detailed instructions for proper worship and sacrifice. In ancient times, offering animals to God was the primary way people expressed devotion and sought forgiveness. God required the best animals because damaged or defective offerings showed disrespect and suggested God deserved less than their finest.
