✦ MADE SIMPLE

There will no longer be babies who die young, or elderly people who don't live out their full lifespan. A person will still be considered young even at one hundred years old, but those who reject God will be cursed even if they live to be one hundred.

⚡ THE BOTTOM LINE

God is promising a future time when people will live incredibly long lives, with even a hundred years being considered young, though those who rebel against God will still face judgment.

📚 Historical Context

Isaiah wrote this prophecy around 700 BC during a time of great upheaval for Israel. This passage describes God's promised restoration of Jerusalem and creation of 'new heavens and a new earth.' The prophet was encouraging the people that despite their current suffering and exile, God would create a perfect future where death, sorrow, and premature loss would be dramatically reduced.
