And we sailed thence, and came the next day over against Chios; and the next day we arrived at Samos, and tarried at Trogyllium; and the next day we came to Miletus.
From there, we sailed and by the next day we were across from the island of Chios. The day after that, we made it to Samos and stopped at Trogyllium for the night. Then the next day, we finally reached Miletus.
Sometimes the journey happens one day at a time, island by island, until you reach where you're supposed to be.
