And he departed thence, and entered into a certain man’s house, named Justus, one that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue.
So Paul left there and went to stay at this guy Justus's place, he was someone who really loved God, and his house was literally right next door to the synagogue.
Sometimes God puts the right people in the perfect spot at exactly the right time.
📚 Historical Context
In Acts 18, the Apostle Paul is in Corinth, a bustling Roman city known for its commerce and cultural diversity, where he had been preaching in the synagogue but encountered strong opposition from the Jewish leaders. As a result, Paul left the synagogue and went to the nearby house of Justus, a God-fearing Gentile who was sympathetic to Jewish beliefs, allowing him to continue his ministry without breaking ties with the Jewish community. This transition highlights the challenges early Christians faced in spreading the Gospel amid religious tensions.
