This shall be thine of the most holy things, reserved from the fire: every oblation of theirs, every meat offering of theirs, and every sin offering of theirs, and every trespass offering of theirs which they shall render unto me, shall be most holy for thee and for thy sons.
This is what belongs to you from the most sacred offerings that are not burned up in the fire: every grain offering, every sin offering, and every guilt offering that the people bring to me will be completely sacred and will belong to you and your sons.
God is telling Aaron that he and his sons will receive portions of the most sacred offerings that the people bring, providing for their needs as priests.
📚 Historical Context
God was establishing how the Levitical priests would be supported since they wouldn't receive land inheritance like the other tribes. The offerings mentioned were different types of sacrifices the Israelites brought for worship, thanksgiving, and atonement for sin. This system ensured the priests had food and resources while they served in the tabernacle.
