Delilah therefore took new ropes, and bound him therewith, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And there were liers in wait abiding in the chamber. And he brake them from off his arms like a thread.
So Delilah took new ropes and tied him up with them. Then she called out, 'Samson, the Philistines are attacking you!' There were men hiding in the room, waiting to capture him. But he snapped the ropes off his arms as easily as breaking a piece of thread.
This verse shows Delilah's second attempt to discover the secret of Samson's strength, but he easily breaks free from the ropes, proving his supernatural power remains intact.
