Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Since we're all human, made of flesh and blood, Jesus became human too. He did this so that by dying, he could completely destroy the one who holds the power of death: the devil.
