📚 Historical Context
In the biblical narrative, Abram had fled to Egypt due to a severe famine in the land of Canaan, as described in the previous chapter. During his time in Egypt, he encountered difficulties, including lying about his wife Sarai to protect himself, but God protected him and allowed him to leave with increased wealth. This verse continues the story by showing Abram's return to the southern region of Canaan, known as the Negev, along with his nephew Lot and all his possessions.
