Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.
Then he told me, 'This water flows east toward the desert and eventually reaches the sea. When it gets there, it's going to heal those waters.'
God's healing power flows everywhere it needs to go, even to the most broken places.
📚 Historical Context
Ezekiel was a prophet during the Babylonian exile in the 6th century BC, where he received visions from God to encourage the exiled Israelites about their future restoration. In this vision, a life-giving river flows from the temple in Jerusalem eastward through the desert and into the Dead Sea, symbolizing God's power to bring healing and renewal to barren and lifeless places. This imagery reflects the broader biblical theme of God's promise to revive His people after judgment and exile.
