And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into thine house, and into thy bedchamber, and upon thy bed, and into the house of thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy kneadingtroughs:
The river will produce countless frogs that will come up into your house, into your bedroom, and onto your bed. They'll get into your servants' houses and cover your people. They'll even get into your ovens and bread-making bowls.
God is warning Pharaoh that frogs will invade every part of Egyptian life, from their most private spaces to their food preparation areas.
📚 Historical Context
In the book of Exodus, the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt, and God called Moses to demand their freedom from Pharaoh. When Pharaoh refused, God initiated a series of ten plagues to display His power over the Egyptian gods and to compel Pharaoh to release His people. The second plague, involving an overwhelming swarm of frogs from the Nile River, was meant to invade every aspect of daily life, as detailed in this verse.
