And the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.
And the LORD said to Moses, 'I will bring one more plague on Pharaoh and on Egypt. After that, he will let you go from here. When he lets you go, he will actually force you to leave completely.'
God is telling Moses that one final plague will convince Pharaoh to not just allow the Israelites to leave Egypt, but to actually push them out urgently.
📚 Historical Context
In the book of Exodus, the Israelites had been enslaved in Egypt for generations, and God had called Moses to lead them to freedom as part of His covenant promises. By the time of Exodus 11:1, nine plagues had already struck Egypt to demonstrate God's power and pressure Pharaoh to release the people, but Pharaoh's stubborn resistance continued. God was now declaring that a final plague would force Pharaoh not only to let the Israelites go but to drive them out completely, fulfilling His plan for deliverance.
