✦ SIMPLIFICADO

Day after day, the king's servants kept talking to Mordecai about bowing down to Haman, but he wouldn't listen to them. Finally, they told Haman about it to see what would happen to Mordecai, because Mordecai had told them he was a Jew.

⚡ EN RESUMEN

The writer is showing how Mordecai's refusal to bow down to Haman became known, putting him in danger because of his Jewish faith and convictions.

📚 Historical Context

This takes place in the Persian Empire under King Xerxes, where Haman had been promoted to the highest position and expected everyone to bow to him. Mordecai, as a faithful Jew, refused to bow to anyone but God, which was against Persian court customs but in line with Jewish law that forbade worshiping or showing divine honor to humans.
