Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:
In the Book of Numbers, this verse refers to the aftermath of the Israelites' rebellion at Kadesh Barnea, where they doubted God's promise and refused to enter the Promised Land despite the spies' reports. God had sworn to give the land to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, but because of the people's lack of faith, He decreed that the adult generation who left Egypt would not see it. This judgment highlights the consequences of incomplete obedience during the Israelites' wilderness wanderings.
