Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:

📚 Contexto Histórico
This verse comes during Israel's 40 years of wilderness wandering after their exodus from Egypt. The older generation had repeatedly doubted God's power and complained against His leadership, most notably when they refused to enter the Promised Land after hearing the fearful report of the spies. As a consequence, God decreed that this faithless generation would die in the wilderness, and only their children would inherit the land He had promised to their ancestors.
