📚 Contexto Histórico
In the book of Nehemiah, the Jewish people had returned from exile in Babylon and were rebuilding their city and their faith after years of displacement. Ezra, a scribe and teacher of the Law, stood on a wooden platform to read the Scriptures publicly to the gathered crowd, symbolizing a moment of spiritual revival. This event highlighted the cultural importance of communal gatherings for hearing God's Word, as the people sought to reconnect with their heritage and recommit to their covenant with God.
