And the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of the old corn of the land; neither had the children of Israel manna any more; but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.
In the book of Joshua, the Israelites had just crossed the Jordan River into the Promised Land after forty years of wandering in the desert, following their exodus from Egypt. God had miraculously provided manna as their daily sustenance during the wilderness journey to sustain them until they could settle. Once they ate the produce of the land, such as the old corn, the manna ceased, signifying the shift from divine intervention in scarcity to abundance in the land God had sworn to their ancestors.
