📚 Contexto Histórico
In the book of Jeremiah, the prophet is warning the people of Judah about the impending Babylonian invasion due to their sins against God. This verse occurs during the siege of Jerusalem around 586 BC, when Jeremiah's messages urging surrender were seen as treasonous by royal officials. These officials, including Shephatiah and others mentioned, were part of King Zedekiah's court and actively opposed Jeremiah's prophecies as they feared it would undermine morale.
