📚 Contexto Histórico
This prophecy was given around 588-586 BC when Jerusalem was under siege by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. Jeremiah was warning that God would not protect the city this time because of Judah's persistent rebellion and idol worship. The destruction of Jerusalem and the temple actually occurred in 586 BC, fulfilling this prophecy.
