📚 Contexto Histórico
During the 8th century BC, the divided kingdom of Israel faced political turmoil, with the southern kingdom of Judah under King Ahaz dealing with threats from the northern kingdom of Israel and the neighboring kingdom of Syria. The kings of Syria and Israel, Rezin and Pekah respectively, formed an alliance to attack Jerusalem in an attempt to force Judah into a coalition against the rising Assyrian Empire and possibly replace Ahaz with their own leader. Despite their military efforts, they failed to capture the city, highlighting the vulnerability and divine protection of Judah at that time.
