✦ SIMPLIFICADO

In the book of 2 Kings, this verse is part of the narrative about King Manasseh of Judah, who reigned in the 7th century BC and led the nation into widespread idolatry and rebellion against God, reversing the reforms of his father Hezekiah. God is here reiterating a promise originally made to the Israelites through earlier covenants, assuring them stability in the land given to their ancestors, but with the clear condition that they must obey His laws as delivered by Moses. This reflects the ongoing theme in the Old Testament of God's conditional blessings tied to covenant faithfulness.
