📚 Contexto Histórico

King Asa was a king of Judah who began his reign with strong faith in God, implementing religious reforms and achieving military victories, but he later turned to political alliances with foreign powers instead of seeking divine help. This verse describes his elaborate burial in a tomb he prepared, filled with spices and a great burning, which was a customary way to honor deceased rulers in ancient Israel, reflecting both respect for his legacy and the cultural practices of the time. It highlights the irony of his honorable burial despite his final years of disobedience.
