📚 Contexto Histórico
After King Solomon's death, the united kingdom of Israel split into two nations: the northern kingdom of Israel and the southern kingdom of Judah, with Rehoboam ascending to the throne of Judah. Rehoboam was 41 years old at the start of his 17-year reign in Jerusalem, the city God had specifically chosen as the central place for His presence among the tribes. His mother, Naamah, being an Ammonitess, highlights the potential influence of foreign elements in the royal lineage during this period of political division.
