And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Intreat now the face of the LORD thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God besought the LORD, and the king’s hand was restored him again, and became as it was before.

This happened when King Jeroboam was offering sacrifices at an altar he had built illegally, and a prophet from Judah came to condemn it. When Jeroboam stretched out his hand to have the prophet arrested, God caused his hand to wither and become paralyzed as a sign of judgment. This miracle of restoration showed both God's power to judge and His mercy to heal when there is humility.
