In the biblical narrative of 1 Kings, a prophet from Judah was sent to deliver a message against King Jeroboam's idolatrous altar in Bethel and was commanded not to eat or drink there. After being deceived by an older prophet in the area, the first prophet disobeyed and was killed by a lion as judgment. Upon hearing of this, the older prophet instructs his sons to saddle an ass, likely to retrieve the body and give it a proper burial.
