And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:
And the LORD your God will make you abundantly successful in everything you do with your hands, in your children, in your livestock, and in the crops of your land, for your benefit. The LORD will once again delight in you for good, just as he delighted in your ancestors.
God is promising to bless His people abundantly in every area of life and to take great joy in them, just as He did with their ancestors.
📚 Historical Context
In the book of Deuteronomy, Moses is addressing the Israelites on the plains of Moab as they prepare to enter the Promised Land, emphasizing the covenant God made with them and the blessings that follow obedience. This verse is part of a larger passage about restoration after exile, where God promises abundant prosperity if the people return to Him wholeheartedly. It reflects God's historical pattern of rejoicing over His faithful people, as seen in His dealings with the patriarchs like Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
