Day 1
Power of the Tongue
Proverbs 18:21
Clear, easy-to-understand.
Your words hold the power of life and death.
Are your words building people up or tearing them down?
⚡ Every word you speak is either medicine or poison.
Words can heal or destroy — choose carefully.
Your words hold the power of life and death.
Are your words building people up or tearing them down?
⚡ Every word you speak is either medicine or poison.
Lord, put a guard over my mouth. Stand watch at the door of my lips.
What words do you need God to guard you from saying?
⚡ Sometimes the most powerful thing is what you DON'T say.
Don't let any unwholesome talk come from your mouth — only what builds others up and benefits those who listen.
Does your speech consistently build or tear down?
⚡ Before you speak, ask: Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?
No human can tame the tongue — it's a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
If no human can tame the tongue, who can?
⚡ You can't tame your tongue alone — you need the Spirit's help.
Always speak with grace, seasoned with salt, so you'll know how to respond to everyone properly.
How can you season your words with more grace?
⚡ Salty speech isn't harsh — it's flavorful and preserving.
