And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
Here's what's going to happen: any nation on earth that refuses to come to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD who rules over everything, they're going to face some serious consequences. No rain for them.
Show up to worship the real King, or deal with the drought.
📚 Historical Context
Zechariah was a prophet who ministered to the Jewish people after their return from Babylonian exile around 520 BC, encouraging them to rebuild the temple and trust in God's promises. In Chapter 14, he describes a prophetic vision of the end times, where God intervenes in a great battle, establishes Jerusalem as the center of His kingdom, and requires all nations to worship Him there. This verse specifically highlights the consequences of rebellion, using the withholding of rain as a symbol of divine judgment in an ancient agricultural society dependent on seasonal rains.
