And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them for an offering.
After that, the Levites will be able to go in and serve in the tent of meeting. You must purify them and present them as an offering.
The writer is explaining that the Levites must be ceremonially cleansed and dedicated before they can begin their sacred work serving God in the tabernacle.
📚 Historical Context
This verse comes from God's instructions to Moses about consecrating the Levites for temple service around 1440 BC in the wilderness. The Levites were one of the twelve tribes of Israel, chosen by God to assist the priests and care for the tabernacle (the portable worship center). Before they could begin this holy work, they had to undergo special purification rituals to be set apart for God's service.
