📚 Historical Context
This verse is part of the report given by the twelve spies Moses sent to scout the Promised Land of Canaan. The Anakim were known as a race of giants who lived in the land, and their presence struck fear into the hearts of most of the spies. This negative report would later lead to Israel's forty years of wandering in the wilderness due to their lack of faith.
