And I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone.
And I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take some of the Spirit that is on you and give it to them. Then they will help you carry the responsibility of leading the people, so you won't have to bear it all by yourself.
God is promising Moses that He will share the spiritual burden of leadership by giving some of Moses' spirit to other leaders who can help him.
📚 Historical Context
This verse comes during Israel's wilderness journey when Moses was overwhelmed by the complaints and needs of over a million people. Moses had just cried out to God about the impossible burden of leading alone, saying he'd rather die than continue. God responds by establishing the first council of seventy elders to share the leadership responsibilities.
