And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Nations from all over will come together and say, 'Come on, let's head up to God's mountain, to the place where Jacob's God lives. He'll teach us how to live, and we'll actually follow his way.' Because God's guidance will flow out from Zion, and his truth will spread from Jerusalem.
One day, the whole world will be eager to learn God's ways and live by his truth.
📚 Historical Context
Micah was a prophet in ancient Judah during the 8th century BC, speaking to a people facing threats from the Assyrian empire and their own moral decline. In this verse, he prophesies a future time of global peace and unity, where nations from around the world will voluntarily seek God's instruction in Jerusalem. This reflects the broader biblical theme of God's ultimate plan to establish His kingdom through Zion as a center of divine teaching.
