📚 Historical Context
In the historical context, Jesus was sending his twelve disciples on a mission to the lost sheep of Israel, instructing them on how to spread the gospel and perform miracles in various towns. This advice about finding a worthy person to stay with reflected the cultural importance of hospitality in ancient Jewish society, where travelers depended on hosts for shelter and support to avoid dangers and ensure their work could continue. It helped the disciples align with those who were open to their message, promoting effective ministry without unnecessary risks.
