And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.
During the day, Jesus would teach at the temple, but when night came, he'd head out to stay on the Mount of Olives.
Jesus kept a simple routine, teaching all day, resting under the stars at night.
📚 Historical Context
During the final week of Jesus' life, known as Holy Week, He spent His days teaching in the Temple in Jerusalem, which was the heart of Jewish worship and a place where crowds gathered for religious instruction and debate. At night, He would withdraw to the Mount of Olives, a hill just east of the city, for rest and prayer, as it was a common spot for overnight stays and held significance in Jewish tradition. This routine underscores the balance Jesus maintained between His public mission and personal communion with God amidst growing opposition.
