And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering unto the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD; blood shall be imputed unto that man; he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people:
And does not bring it to the entrance of the meeting tent to offer it as a sacrifice to the LORD in front of the LORD's tent, that person will be held responsible for bloodshed; he has shed blood and must be removed from his people.
This verse is saying that anyone who kills an animal for sacrifice but doesn't bring it to God's designated place will be treated as if they committed murder and must be expelled from the community.
📚 Historical Context
In the time of Moses, the Israelites were given detailed laws about sacrifices to ensure they worshiped God correctly and avoided idolatry, as they were a nomadic people freshly freed from Egyptian slavery. This verse specifically addresses the requirement that all animal sacrifices must be brought to the entrance of the Tabernacle, the mobile sanctuary where God dwelt among them, to maintain ritual purity and communal holiness. Failure to comply was viewed as a grave act of rebellion against God's covenant, potentially resulting in exclusion from the community.
