So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.
So when the Samaritans came to Jesus, they basically begged him to stay longer with them. And he actually did, he hung around for two whole days.

📚 Historical Context
In the biblical narrative of John 4, Jesus had just encountered a Samaritan woman at Jacob's well, where he revealed his identity as the Messiah, leading her to share this with her community. The Samaritans, who were historically estranged from the Jews due to deep-seated religious and cultural differences stemming from ancient divisions in Israel, approached Jesus and urged him to remain with them. This moment underscores Jesus' inclusive ministry, as he willingly spent time in Samaritan territory, bridging longstanding divides.
