Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the son of Hammelech, that was in the court of the prison: and they let down Jeremiah with cords. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire: so Jeremiah sunk in the mire.
So they grabbed Jeremiah and threw him into Malchiah's dungeon in the prison courtyard. They lowered him down with ropes into this pit that had no water, just thick, nasty mud. Jeremiah sank right into the muck.
Sometimes doing the right thing gets you thrown into the mud, but that doesn't mean you stop.
