And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.
And I will let you find me, says the LORD. I will end your time in captivity and gather you from all the nations and places where I scattered you, says the LORD. I will bring you back to the land I caused you to be taken away from.
God is promising that He will allow His people to find Him again and will bring them home from their exile, restoring what was lost.
📚 Historical Context
During the Babylonian exile in the 6th century BC, the Jewish people were forcibly removed from their homeland and taken to Babylon as a consequence of their unfaithfulness to God. Jeremiah, a prophet speaking for God, wrote this letter to the exiles to offer hope amid their suffering, emphasizing that their exile was part of God's disciplinary plan but not the end of His promises. He assured them that God would fulfill His covenant by restoring them to their land.
