The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.
The LORD's anger will not go away until he has carried out and completed what he has planned in his heart. In the future, you will understand this completely.
God is saying that his judgment will definitely happen as he has planned, and people will fully understand this in time.
📚 Historical Context
Jeremiah was prophesying during the final years before Jerusalem's destruction by Babylon (around 605-586 BC). The people were rejecting God's warnings through false prophets who promised peace instead of acknowledging coming judgment. This verse comes in a section where God is denouncing these false prophets and declaring that his promised judgment cannot be avoided.
