Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye declare it? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them.
You have heard all this, so look at everything that's happened. Won't you tell others about it? From now on, I'm showing you new things, secret things you never knew before.
God is telling His people that after witnessing His predictions come true, they should tell others, and He promises to reveal even more amazing things they've never known.
📚 Historical Context
Isaiah was a prophet in ancient Judah during the 8th century BC, speaking to the people about their persistent idolatry and rebellion against God, which led to threats of exile by foreign powers like Babylon. In this verse, God challenges the Israelites to recognize the prophecies and events they have already heard and witnessed, while revealing new, hidden truths to demonstrate His unmatched foreknowledge and sovereignty over history. This highlights God's frustration with their unbelief and His desire to reaffirm His role as the one true God who controls the future.
