The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts.
The strong defenses will be removed from Ephraim, and Damascus will no longer be a kingdom, and what's left of Syria will lose its power. They will be brought low just like the people of Israel were, says the LORD of armies.
