And ye shall appoint the possession of the city five thousand broad, and five and twenty thousand long, over against the oblation of the holy portion: it shall be for the whole house of Israel.
You need to set aside land for the city, make it 5,000 units wide and 25,000 units long, right next to that holy area we talked about. This space is for everyone in Israel to use.
God's always been about making sure there's space for everyone in his plans.
📚 Historical Context
Ezekiel was a prophet speaking to the Jewish exiles in Babylon during the 6th century BC, sharing a vision of a restored Israel after their captivity. In this vision, God outlines a detailed plan for dividing the land, including specific allocations for the city and holy areas, to promote justice, holiness, and community order. This reflects the broader theme of God's promise to renew His covenant and bring His people back to a structured, faithful society.
