In the visions of God brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain, by which was as the frame of a city on the south.
God gave me this incredible vision and brought me to Israel, placing me on this super high mountain where I could see what looked like a city being built to the south.
Sometimes God gives us the high view so we can see what he's building.
📚 Historical Context
Ezekiel was a prophet and priest among the Jewish exiles in Babylon during the 6th century BC, following the destruction of Jerusalem and the first temple by the Babylonians. In this vision, God supernaturally transported him back to the land of Israel to reveal a detailed plan for a new temple, symbolizing future restoration and God's enduring presence among His people. This occurred around 573 BC as part of Ezekiel's prophetic messages that offered hope to the exiles amid their suffering and displacement.
