And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
I'm going to bring serious judgment on him, disease, bloodshed, torrential storms, massive hailstones, fire, and burning sulfur will pour down on him and his armies and all the nations fighting with him.
When God says it's time for judgment, nature itself becomes his weapon.
📚 Historical Context
Ezekiel prophesied during the Babylonian exile in the 6th century BC, as the Israelites were scattered and facing threats from surrounding nations. In this verse, he describes God's promised judgment on a future coalition led by Gog that would invade Israel, using vivid imagery of natural disasters and supernatural elements to show divine intervention. This prophecy fits into a broader biblical theme of God protecting His people and punishing aggressors.
