Every one that did offer an offering of silver and brass brought the LORD’s offering: and every man, with whom was found shittim wood for any work of the service, brought it.
Everyone who wanted to give an offering of silver and bronze brought it as their gift to the LORD. And every person who had acacia wood that could be used for any part of the work brought that too.
The writer is describing how the Israelites generously brought whatever materials they had - metals and wood - to contribute to building God's tabernacle.
📚 Historical Context
This verse comes from the account of building the tabernacle (portable temple) in the wilderness after the Israelites left Egypt. Moses had asked the people to voluntarily contribute materials needed for construction. The 'shittim wood' (acacia wood) was particularly valuable in the desert and was specified by God for various parts of the tabernacle's structure.
