And the other lamb thou shalt offer at even, and shalt do thereto according to the meat offering of the morning, and according to the drink offering thereof, for a sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
And you shall offer the other lamb in the evening, doing with it the same as the grain offering of the morning and the same drink offering that goes with it, as a sweet-smelling sacrifice made by fire to the LORD.
God is instructing that the second daily lamb sacrifice should be offered in the evening with the same grain and drink offerings as the morning sacrifice, creating a pleasing aroma to Him.
📚 Historical Context
This verse is part of God's detailed instructions to Moses about establishing the daily sacrificial system for the Israelites at Mount Sinai. The twice-daily lamb offerings (morning and evening) would become the foundation of worship at the tabernacle and later the temple. These instructions were given as part of the covenant relationship between God and His newly freed people after their exodus from Egypt.
