And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.
Moses told the people, 'Don't be afraid! Stay calm and watch how the LORD will save you today. The Egyptians you see right now—you will never see them again.'
Moses is telling the terrified Israelites to trust God completely because He is about to rescue them in a way they've never seen before.
📚 Historical Context
This moment occurs at the Red Sea when the Israelites found themselves trapped between Pharaoh's advancing army and the water, just days after leaving Egypt. The people were panicking, thinking they would be killed or dragged back into slavery. Moses spoke these words just before God parted the Red Sea, allowing the Israelites to cross on dry ground while drowning Pharaoh's army.
